Most of the shoji in this view are fixed panels. The sliding shoji door is the only one with a door pull. The sliding door slips between the wall and the fixed shoji screens to the left.

The loft shoji are installed with wood tracking and have a locking mechanism so the screens can only be taken out in one position. The area above the shoji, in this view, has not been trimmed out yet, what you see is the spacers or trim supports... and more of their beautiful kimono collection.
